About Confinement Mama
To introduce myself, I am a proud mama to Baby C, who is my first-born (June 2022). The journey of Confinement Mama started because of a fuelling passion to help first time parents. Like many of you, during my first pregnancy, it was challenging and scary as I did not know what to expect. Furthermore, I have never engaged a Confinement Nanny before and did not know anything much about the industry. With little help & information provided online, this spurred me to provide a trusted & reliable platform which families can trust.
Considering Confinement Help
When I found out I was pregnant, I was exploring either engaging a confinement nanny, or getting the help of my mother. I am sure some of you are also considering the same right now. However, my only option narrowed down to hiring a confinement nanny, as my mother had to help out with my sister’s newborn then. I did not know anything about a Confinement Nanny then. I went ahead to engage one of the nanny agencies in Singapore.
Hiring Confinement Nanny
Initially, I was quite hesitant as it meant having a stranger in the house and it might create some inconvenience and discomfort overall. However, after the first few days, I adjusted to it quickly and I was SO glad to have a nanny.
As a new mummy, there were many things I was unclear about and I did not have prior babycare experience nor did I attend any training courses (oops!).
As such, I really appreciated having a good confinement nanny as she has aided me in my motherhood journey in so many ways
How My Confinement Nanny Helped
My nanny took great care of my baby. I could clearly see the love in her eyes and she took initiatives to go above and beyond. For instance, using wet wipes moistened further with boiled water to reduce friction, cleaning baby’s umbilical cord.
My nanny also cooked many nutritious dishes for me on a daily basis. She placed tremendous effort in varying the menu and cooking meals my husband and I enjoyed.
My nanny was a good companion to me, as I was mostly home alone with just Baby C, as her papa returned to work shortly.
